The supply chain performance improvisation comes through the reduction in integration costs (FedEx just announced to spend 2 Billion to integrate their silos), optimising the speed of information exchange (through unified standard, the data transfer becomes almost instant), and opening up new business avenues based on bringing the data into one protocol (e.g. remove the need of KYC for supply chain financing & insurance as the data is already “verified”).

There are many ways how all this will improve the whole supply chain management business, yet of course, if we get even more data into one container, e.g. through the increased use of RFIDs, then this creates even more traceability, trust & trust.

NB! One of the startups looking to build their solution on Supplain’s protocol is also coming from the aircraft parts industry, and they are looking forward to more traceable supply chains with a bunch of verifiability opportunities. At the same time, another one is looking to build a vehicle maintenance platform on Supplain - again, to bring more trust into the industry.
